be good. do good. be good at it.
Founders Kherington, Aubrie, and Mandy stand together and smile happily at the camera.

Why ‘Tenacious Good’?

Tenacity is a character trait that walks hand-in-hand with happiness. It is my belief that the ultimate act of rebellion is to remain authentically oneself- tenaciously holding fast to our innate compassion and integrity (towards ourselves and others) in the face of adversity- or in other words- our intrinsic ‘goodness’.

Our tallow journey came about out of necessity- one of my children has eczema and I wanted a solution that I could depend on. Specifically, I wanted something free of steroids and chemicals that I couldn’t pronounce that would nourish and heal her tender skin.

And here we are!

mandy

Mandy has always been a visionary and artist at heart. A wandering soul tethered gratefully to motherhood in this season, she is forever curious about the cultures and stories that make up the world we live in. If she’s not in the kitchen brewing up some herbal tea, you’ll likely find her barefoot in her backyard, or singing a tune while her dad strums the guitar.

“The best gift we can give ourselves and those we love is to be exactly who we are… and to allow them the same.” -Mandy

Aubrie

Taking the road less traveled isn’t the goal, but if it leads her to her destination, that’s where she’ll be. In true fashion, Aubrie opted to forego her junior and senior year at a traditional high school and enroll in an online program to accelerate her graduation date. She looks forward to earning her high school diploma so that she can do some traveling while she works remotely.

“Keep throwing punches, through thick and thin. You’ll face challenges throughout your whole life, but they’re just obstacles on your way to success. Make the conscious choice to keep going. You make your own success, and you won’t get there if you give up when it’s hard.” -Aubrie

kherington

With her natural talent for leadership and teaching, it’s no surprise that Kherington’s junior year is punctuated with leading drill practices or commanding a team for her high school’s JROTC program. Kher (as her family calls her) is looking forward to finishing out high school before joining the US Airforce.

“When you fall don’t stay on the ground. Make the conscious choice to get back up when you fall. That will separate you from the people who give up. Success isn’t accomplished by doing astonishing things. Being able to knowingly make the choice to try again after you mess up is success in itself.” -Kherington
